EMR & Labor Relations:

In this lesson, supervisors will learn who the EMR and LMR contacts are and how these offices can help management when it comes to performance and disciplinary issues with employees. Additionally, this will cover LMR's role in changes of conditions of employments and how they help management. These offices also help supervisors with grievances, appeals, work hours, leave, and incentive awards.

DPMAP/MyBiz:

This topic will cover the DoD Performance Management & Appraisal Program. This lesson will teach supervisors how to use this system and how to manage performance of employees and completing appraisals.

Employee Recognition:

50 Min

This lesson will familiarize supervisors with the employee recognition program and how to submit outstanding employees for recognition, such as time-off, quarterly, and monetary awards. Additionally, this brief will cover general information on the program guidance.

EAP:

30 Min 

This brief will cover EAP, to include the various ways and resources available to supervisors and their employees, such as coaching, counseling, online programs, work-life services, and more. The EAP is a resource to help employees overcome potential challenges, both professionally and personally. During this lesson, supervisors will also learn who how to utilize the program and who the local EAP contacts are.

Generational Perspectives:

60 Min 

As Bob Dylan said "The times they are a changing". This is evident in a workforce that now consists of 4 different generations. This lesson will cover how to interact and manage a workforce consisting of multiple-generations. Additionally, this topic will provide historical context that helps supervisors understand how different generations formed their general characteristics and what's in store for the future workforce.
